Staying near the airport between flights and found this jewel! A little out of the way, but definitely worth the drive. Wonderful freshly made dishes. The Plato Rustico is listed under salads, but it's an amazing appetizer. Grilled eggplant, tomatoes and peppers with fresh mozzarella. Both our entrees were also delicious and the tiramisu was beyond! We'll be back every time we layover in Seattle!!

We made reservations for Valentine's Day and we also had visited here one other time on a random night a while back. The Valentine's reservation had me nervous because I figured it would be long and drawn out with the amount of couples that were probably booked and we had a show to get to. Well, the service was great and we didn't have a long wait for any of our dishes or drinks at all. We chose to sit in the bar area because it seemed more cozy and I prefer a taller table when they're available. We tried the meatball appetizer and that was so filling I could only have one. It was hot and flavorful. Then for my entree, I chose the scallops. They were huge! There were 3 at the top and one underneath the pasta some. I would get that again. I didn't even need to eat much of the pasta because the vegetables and scallops were plenty. The server said she was pretty new, but you'd never know it by her service. She even gave good wine recommendations for our tastes.

Small, but nice and cozy inside. I went with a couple friends for dinner, we shared a brunette, on light, thick house made bread with buratta and some of the best, fresh tomatoes I've had...and in FEBRUARY no less. My friends split a salad and chicken parmesan, they said they liked it. I had the capresse salad, it was very good, but similar to the bruscetta, and meatballs in marinara. All in all, the food is good, if a bit pricey ($90 for what we ordered) for pasta. I would eat here again, the servers didn't coordinate very well with each other, which led to inconsistent service.

The food here.... AMAZING!!! Holy cow, this definitely the best food in our area, by far. I had a simple pork chop with fregula - SO GOOD! The appetizers and my husbands truffle pasta were great, as well. The only reason for the four star review is the service; our waitress was nice enough, but had some very strange manners, including asking to keep my silverware so she could box our leftover food... not exactly high class!

2024, this place has evolved and although I have not ate everything on the menu, what I had tonight was WONDERFUL! I ordered from the new menu: Spaghetti with Pesto + meatball (came with 4 big meatballs) The Pesto was extraordinary! The meatballs were juicy! Not really Italian BUT who cares? The meatballs were a blend of beef and pork and tasty and juicy! I look at this place as a fusion Italian/mexican/indian place now...never mind that they have Pollo all parmigiana on the menu. It's NOT Traditional Italian...it's grilled. If you can forget this place has an Italian name (from the old owners) and just appreciate the food for what it is (fusion) then you will enjoy! The bar is pretty kewl if small, but all windows, and they have Taco's for lunch outside in the summer! (Not open inside for lunch) this is my new GO TO Spot! The lady waitress is so nice too! I'm from the neighborhood and maybe I'll see y'all there!

Cute atmosphere! Food was delicious, Everything we got from the appetizers, the main course, drinks and desserts didn't disappoint. It's a small place, We made reservations,,wasn't sure if there could be a wait so better safe than sorry! The service was fairly slow but friendly. We arrived at 6:30pm and didn't leave till close to 9pm. Lots of long breaks in between orders.. it Appetizers and drink order 1st ..Appetizers came out within 15 mins but our drinks didn't come out till 30 mins later...it was that time frame for the whole dinner, didn't come back to take our main course order for another 20 mins or more,,,but Overall the food made up for it all, it was absolutely delicious!

My first time here, and this seems like a solid addition to the Normandy Park/Des Moines food scene. It's smaller inside than I'd have expected from the outside, but that can be a good thing. No huge dining room with noisy parties competing with each other. As I often do when dining alone, I ate at the bar and the bartender was very accommodating. I told him what I was looking for in a red, and he suggested a Chianti, which turned out to be a bit lighter than I wanted, but pleasant nonetheless. My Pizza Margharita was good, with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil on a medium crust. A request for some red peppers was answered quickly, as was the suggestion for a second glass of wine. This time, my bartender recommeded the Upside Down Merlot. (Remember the line from "Sideways"? "If anyone orders a merlot, I'M LEAVING!") This was quite nice. Full, with just a hint of fruit at the beginning. It was only my first time, but my impression is that they offer good, solid Italian food at pretty reasonable prices. There's an outside patio when weather permits, and it's a local place. Well worth trying if you like Italian.
